PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Russell! Well-Behaved, Leash Trained and Loves to Strike a Pose

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER (PAHS)

Our featured pet of the week is Russell who has lots to offer in his future home.

Russell is a 1-year-old male Rat Terrier mix who must be neutered before he is adopted.  He was brought to PAHS after he was found as a stray and no one reclaimed him.  Russell is white with brown markings.  This handsome young dog weighs 26 pounds so he is considered to be a medium sized adult dog.  Russell is good with other dogs and children.  He is well-behaved and leash trained.  We think in a former life he may have been a canine model because he knows how to strike a pose like a pro!  Russell is a sweetie pie who is ready to start a new life with a loving family!

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120 and is $50 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.

The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  We are closed one day each month for staff development which will be on July 30th this month.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

We appreciate all the help you give in finding homes for these great pets.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
