Central Alabama Aging Consortium (CAAC) is partnering with the USDA, GA Foods, and the Alabama Department of Senior Services to provide boxes of food for those in need. We will help distribute a total of 560 food boxes on a first come/first served basis. There will be a limit of 1 box per car.
Each box will contain 8 pieces of fresh fruit, 5 pounds of pre-cooked meat (chicken or pork), approximately 5 lbs. assorted fresh vegetables, 12 oz. of cheese, 1 lb. of butter, and the equivalent of one-half gallon of milk.
CAAC, GA Foods, and volunteers will be distributing the food boxes from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. this Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Stanley-Jensen Stadium. If you have any questions, please contact CAAC by calling 334-240-4680.
