Biggest Mardi Gras Parade North of Mobile Coming to Millbrook Saturday!

Who is ready for Round 2 of Mardi Gras in our area?

Come out Saturday, Feb. 15, for a full day of fun in Millbrook, with food vendors galore, shopping opportunities and the biggest Mardi Gras Parade north of Mobile!

The Millbrook Mardi Gras Festival and Parade, hosted by the Millbrook Revelers, begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 15th at the Village Green with live entertainment and vendors, followed by a parade at noon. Check out the Umbrella Stroll at 10 a.m. at Village Green Park.

All vendor spots are completely sold out! There will be games, plenty of food and music all day in the park.

The Millbrook Revelers are proud to announce King Joe Rittner and Queen Ona Jean Abbott to reign for this year’s events.

There is a special emphasis on fun things for kids to do including walking on water in a bubble, a bungee jump, pony rides, sliding chutes, and other activities.

This event is put together by The Millbrook Revelers, a group of citizens who just like to bring the spirit of Mardi Gras to Millbrook.

Don’t worry, this isn’t New Orleans and the Revelers assure you the festival and parade are totally family-oriented.  So, bring the family and be prepared to catch beads, moon pies stuffed animals, etc.

There will be a huge amount of beads, Moonpies and other goodies for the grabbing at Millbrook’s Mardi Gras!

GREAT FOOD

Traditional Cajun foods, barbeque, funnel cakes, Philly Cheese Steaks, Polish Sausages, hamburgers, shrimp, chicken, buffalo strips, pork skins, kettle corn, popcorn, and much more.

PARADE AT NOON

The parade begins on the south end of Main Street at Southgate Shopping Plaza (across from The Smokehouse Barbecue LLC) and ends at the Millbrook Shopping Center (Climate Control Storage) parking lot.

But the Mardi Gras Fun doesn’t end there! Next weekend, FEB. 22 – Wetumpka Mardi Gras Celebration, Events will be held!

The 2020 Order of Cimarrón Mardi Gras Festival will take place Feb. 22 beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting through 4 p.m..

Historic Downtown Wetumpka is the place to be. Vendors will begin selling their wares at 9 a.m., with the Parade at 1 p.m. This is a rain or shine event!

The Wetumpka Mardi Gras Festival will open at 9:00 am and the parade will roll at 1:00 pm.  Parade will utilize the extended Christmas on the Coosa route.  Parade will assemble at First Baptist Church, 205 W Bridge St.   Parade will follow W Bridge Street across Bibb Graves Bridge and take a left on E Bridge Street.  Then turn south or right onto Hill Street, right onto E Commerce and go in front of the Elmore County Courthouse.  Then turn left or south onto S Main Street and end at the Wind Creek Casino employee parking lot.  Download our Parade Route Map.

Vendors & Festival

The Wetumpka Mardi Gras Festival features over 40 vendors, 20 of them being food type vendors, there will be something for everyone. Foods include chicken on a stick, alligator, gumbo, smoked turkey legs, red beans and rice and much more. There will be fun rides for children of all ages. Pony rides, water walker, a climbing wall and the zip ride. In addition, we will have a DJ onsite all day!  

The Order of Cimarrón annual Mardi Gras parade will roll at 1:00 pm.  Parade will assemble at First Baptist Church, 205 W Bridge St.   Parade will follow W Bridge Street across Bibb Graves Bridge and take a left on E Bridge Street.  Then turn south or right onto Hill Street, right onto E Commerce and go in front of the Elmore County Courthouse.  Then turn left or south onto S Main Street and end at the Wind Creek Casino employee parking lot.
