Jan. 24 was a day of double celebration at the Millbrook Civic Center. Longtime resident and community service legend Rosalee Wade was celebrating her 80th birthday in grand style. It was also a day to celebrate the 40th meeting of her and husband Jim Wade.

The event was marvelously attended by friends of the couple. Music was provided and allowed for plenty of dancing, courtesy of Sonny Grier, Ray Goss, Andy Norman and Friends. Dinner was catered by the Front Porch Grill.

The theme for the evening was “As Time Goes By,” which was a featured song allowing Rosalee and Jim to shine on the dance floor, soon joined by their many friends.

Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley presented Rosalee with a proclamation in her honor, noting her community service in civic organizations and community groups.
