Amberly Peavy of Prattville never dreamed she and her daughter Emma Moore would win when she entered the Big League Chew Bubble Gum’s Whirl Series contest. She only entered twice-once in June and once in July. Her odds of winning? Two in 750,00!

On September 11, what seemed impossible happened. The company contacted Peavy and told her she had won the grand prize. Amberly and Emma, 11, were beyond excited. Their prizes include an all-expense-paid trip to New York, a one-year supply of bubble gum, a trip to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, a $250 gift card to spend in the Hall of Fame’s gift shop, Big League gear, a chance to“spin-to-win” to win up to $50,000 to be donated to the hometown baseball or softball organization of Amberly and Emma’s choice, a one-year Hall of Fame Benefactor Membership and a VIP archive tour.

Amberly said she is not sure exactly when the duo will travel to New York, but she and Emma are getting prepared for the big trip. Emma, a sixth-grade student at Prattville Elementary School, said she is nervous about flying for the first time, but excited about the trip. She is especially looking forward to her tour of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

“This is a bucket list trip for us. You never know when you’ll be able to visit such an iconic place like Cooperstown. We’re looking forward to it,” said Amberly.

Emma said she was inspired to pick up a glove and play softball after her dad, a former baseball player, encouraged her to give his favorite pastime a try. She is a pitcher with the Millbrook Girls’ League.

Emma takes pitching lessons at Elite Pitching Academy in Wetumpka and on Friday December 20th she shared one of her prizes with the other girls-her year’s supply of bubble gum! The girls immediately started blowing bubbles at the Academy’s Christmas party.
