The Christmas Season is upon us, which means events galore in the City of Prattville.

On Wednesday December 11th, the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted business owners, community leaders and public officials for their Christmas open house, a tradition that has been upheld for the past 20 years.

This year Mayor Gillespie, Probate Judge Kim Kervin, Director of Planning and Development Scott Stephens, along with nearly 200 others gathered together to usher in the Christmas season.

There was a large buffet with a variety of foods to choose from, as well as punch and desserts. People intermingled with one another, talked about their plans for the holidays, and exchanged business cards.

John Schmidt, Senior Pastor at Centerpoint Fellowship Church, liked what he saw from the Open House event.

“It’s really great to be able to come out here and talk to other community leaders and business owners. The Chamber and City of Prattville have so many great events that they put on during this time of year, and this is just another great example,” Schmidt said.

The Open House was filled with great food, great decorations, and high spirts. The Prattville Chamber, who’s responsibility is to help create a positive business environment, certainly did so in the 2019 edition of the Christmas Open House event!
