PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Parsley; Special Needs Cat Needs Special Person/Family

FROM PRATTVILLE ATAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Parsley has been chosen to be our featured pet this week. She will need a very special person to love and care for her but she is a really special cat!

Parsley is a 5-year-old female Highland Lynx/Domestic Short Hair mix who has already been spayed.  She is a brown and black tabby who is bobtailed.  Parsley has the distinctive slightly curled ears that have a backward turn.  The Highland Lynx has the look of a bob cat; and so does Parsley.  She is a truly unique but beautiful kitty.  “Special Needs” has been indicated on her bio because she does have seizures and she needs to be medicated twice a day for her epilepsy.  When medicated her seizures are under control and manageable.  Parsley is very human oriented; and loves to be snuggled and cuddled.  Parsley is just super affectionate and loving.  She would do best in a quieter home because stress can make her condition worse.

This special needs cat needs a special home with an owner who is willing to help her.  The staff adores this cat and she is such a sweetheart.  We don’t want her disability to keep her from finding a loving and perfect home.  If you are willing to help Parsley live her life to the fullest please call Emilie between 11-4 Monday-Saturday at 358-2882.  Emilie is Parsley’s best friend at PAHS and she can answer all your questions about this sweet kitty.  Please don’t call on Wednesday as that is Emilie’s day off.

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 p.m.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

We really appreciate the help we get from you in introducing these very special pets to the public.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
