Prattville Christian Academy softball’s Peyton Thrash had a big season for the Panthers. She was an integral part of the Panthers winning the area championship and coming within one win of a trip to the state tournament. For the season, Thrash led all softball players in Autauga County with 55 RBIs. She had 21 extra base hits for a .398 batting average and an OBP of .445. Thrash scored 38 runs and stole 20 bases.  Based on the successful season, the Elmore Autauga News has named Thrash as the Autauga County Softball Player of the Year.

“It feels awesome to be named Autauga County Softball Player of the Year,” said Thrash. “I couldn’t have done it without a great team and coaches.”

Thrash explained what she thinks led to the successful season.

“Hard work during practice and outside of it and playing for each other as a team,” said Thrash.

The PCA shortstop cited singing during bus rides to away games as one of her favorite moments of the season. She has a simple goal for 2027: to win the state championship.

Thrash hopes to play softball in college but isn’t committed yet. She hopes to go into the healthcare field following college.
