Victory Christian Academy (VCA) is celebrating a major milestone this week after the Millbrook City Council approved the school’s site development plans during its meeting, May 12, 2026, just before the school’s final day of classes.

The site development plans include an addition at the back of the school to house new classrooms, bathrooms, and a new lunch space as the school continues to grow. Danny Webb from Webb Builders Inc. advised the council that the goal is to complete the project before the end of summer break.

“We’re trying to get started as soon as their school lets out this week,” said Webb. “We’re anxious to get started and get as much done as we can before we get back to school.”

To celebrate the occasion, Principal Jill Pastorelli gathered students on their last day for a hands-on groundbreaking ceremony, using the moment to teach them the significance of breaking ground and the importance of appreciating opportunities like this.

“This is exciting because it means so many great things,” said Pastorelli. “It means God has blessed our school with more students and new places to put them.”

Before students, faculty, and staff turned over the first layer of dirt, Pastorelli read from Psalm 127, Verse 1, emphasizing the work that God is doing at VCA.

She read, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it.”
