Millbrook residents are invited to gather on the Green for an evening of live music, family activities, and hometown pride as the Alex Walker Band takes the stage for the city’s Tunes on the Green series.

“We are thrilled to welcome Alex Walker Band to our Tunes on the Green stage,” said Danae Morgan, cultural arts & special events director. “This series is all about bringing the Millbrook community together for great music and family fun, and Alex’s high-energy blend of southern rock and country music is the perfect fit for a night on the Green. There is something truly special about listening to live music under the stars.”

Walker, a Millbrook native and Stanhope Elmore High School alumnus, has performed professionally since 2018. He released his EP, “Nothing Gold Stays,” in 2024 and is currently working with his band on a new project expected later this year. The Alex Walker Band is known for its wide range of setlists, covering artists from Merle Haggard to Ozzy Osbourne.

Organizers say the event is an opportunity for the community to support a local musician who continues to build his career while staying connected to his hometown.

The concert is scheduled for Friday, May 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Village Green Park in Millbrook. In addition to live music, attendees can enjoy food and treats from Rosemary Bistro Food Truck, Kona Ice, and Made by Molly Cookies, along with a free kids’ play zone and face painting by Amber.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Admission is free.

The city invites residents of Millbrook and surrounding communities to come out, relax, and celebrate local talent together under the evening sky.
