What: Billingsley School’s Applied Science Livestock Teaching Lab Groundbreaking Ceremony

Autauga County Schools is hosting a ceremonial groundbreaking to mark the start of construction on a brand-new Applied Science Livestock Teaching Lab as a part of the Billingsley School campus – the only center of its kind in the state. This groundbreaking represents a major investment in the future of education for students interested in agriscience, allowing for experiential learning in the animal science field, including a barn space for housing livestock.

In addition the groundbreaking, the Mid-South RC&D Council will make a grant presentation to signify the investment made in purchasing a livestock trailer to allow Billingsley students to transport animals to shows, clinics, snd sales across the state – removing barriers for student involvement and strengthening community involvement in production agriculture.
