One killed, multiple injured in single-vehicle Montgomery County crash

MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:33 p.m. Sunday, July 6, has claimed the life of a Montgomery woman. Love T. Dixon, 23, was fatally injured when the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, she was a passenger in, left the roadway and struck a guardrail before overturning and landing back in the roadway. Dixon was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Tahoe, Katrina M. Holloway, 35, of Montgomery, was also not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and transported Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment. A 4-year-old, 6-year-old and 9-year-old, who were all passengers in the Tahoe, were also injured and transported to local area hospitals for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on Interstate 85 near the 14 mile marker, approximately three miles east of Montgomery, in Montgomery County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
