From Alabama Law
Enforcement Agency
MONTGOMERY — On Monday, June 23, Special Agents assigned to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), in coordination with the Alabama Attorney General’s Office and numerous local law enforcement agencies, executed search warrants at several retail locations in Troy, Enterprise, Clanton and Wetumpka.
This operation was the culmination of an investigation that spanned over the course of several months following numerous complaints regarding certain cannabidiol (CBD) specialty stores and vape shops violating current, long-standing marijuana laws. The search warrants resulted in the seizure of large amounts of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, which are currently being inventoried.
To provide additional details, ALEA and the Alabama Attorney General’s Office would like to cordially invite you to a press conference that will be held on Friday, June 27, at 9 a.m. The press event will be held inside the Alabama Attorney General’s Office in the Multipurpose Room.
