Elmore Autauga News
Saturday night a single vehicle crash in the 1400 block of Ingram Road resulted in the vehicle rolling and crashing into a tree.
The apparent driver of the vehicle reportedly left the scene on foot. He has been located and is receiving medical treatment, per Elmore officials.
I will reach out to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency for “official” details. I just wanted everyone to know that the apparent driver been found, as there was some concern about his wellbeing.
I also want to thank the multiple agencies who came out to investigate and searched for several hours attempting to find the driver, who they assumed had sustained injuries. Eventually, law enforcement was contacted by the man’s family to let them know he was getting treatment at a Montgomery hospital.
Thank you to the Millbrook Police and Fire Departments, Prattville Police Department, Elmore County Sheriff’s Office, Elmore Fire Department and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Officials said the truck was in two pieces and on fire when officers first arrived on scene but could not locate the driver. Searchers covered a large area and even used drones in the search. We will update with any official additional information from ALEA when it is available.
