There are 8,300 Alabama Power customers without service in central Alabama (power has been restored to more than 1,500 customers following the overnight severe weather). Statewide, there are approximately 27,000 customers without service.
Outages are concentrated in the following areas:
Lee County: 3800 customers
Montgomery County: 2100 customers
Lowndes County: 1100 customers
Chilton County: 400 customers
Dallas County: 290 customers
Tallapoosa County: 210 customers
Perry County: 150 customers
Wilcox County: 140 customers
Fewer, widely scattered outages also exist in Butler, Bullock, Elmore, and Autauga Counties.
Crews are working to restore service as safely and quickly as possible.
