Prattville Christian Academy is pleased to welcome Shane Moye as their new head football coach. Coach Moye has been with Lowndes Academy for the past 13 years, where he has experienced tremendous success as a head football coach, including winning the state title for football the past three out of four years and finishing as the state runner-up for this season.
Coach Moye has also won two state titles during his time at Lowndes as the head baseball coach. Shane has been named Coach of the Year in the Alabama Independent School Association and an American Baseball Coaches Association Coach of the Year. He and his wife, Kayla, have 3 children who will be attending PCA. Coach Moye is a graduate of Auburn University of Montgomery, where he played baseball and served as a graduate assistant.
Coach Moye has selected two members of his PCA coaching staff. Coach Chad Michael, currently the athletic director and head football coach at Edgewood Academy, will be joining PCA as the defensive coordinator for football and assistant athletic director, he will also be assisting with boys’ basketball. Coach Michael and his wife have two children who will be attending PCA as well. Coach Matt Mims, who has been the head football coach and an assistant athletic director at Abbeville Christian, will join as an assistant football coach and will also be assisting with soccer.
Coach Moye will be at PCA Thursday, December 5, when he will meet with the football players that day. He will also meet with current and future players and their families that evening at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium; any interested PCA parents and media members are invited to attend.
