The Holtville Theater Society delivered a captivating performance of The Little Mermaid Jr. tonight, delighting a packed audience at the Holtville Middle School cafeteria. Directed by Stacy Chancellor, the school’s Media Specialist and IT expert, the production brought together students from 5th to 12th grades for a magical theatrical experience.

The show’s story, adapted from Disney’s beloved Broadway production and animated classic, follows the enchanting journey of Ariel and her aquatic friends as they navigate life “under the sea” and beyond. From the vibrant set designs to the heartwarming musical numbers, the performers brought the undersea kingdom to life with talent and teamwork.

Director Stacy Chancellor praised the students’ collaborative effort, saying, “I think it is so amazing that we have performers from 5th grade to 12th grade, and they pull this together as a team.”

For those who missed tonight’s show, there are two more opportunities to experience the magic. Performances will be held on Friday, November 22, and Saturday, November 23, beginning at 7 p.m. in the HMS cafeteria. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and admission is just $5, payable at the door.

Don’t miss this chance to support local talent and join Ariel in her quest to find her voice and follow her dreams!
