Central Alabama Radiation Oncology Celebrates Opening of New Location in Prattville

Prattville, AL – Central Alabama Radiation Oncology, LLC (CARO) announced the opening of their new radiation oncology treatment facility located in Prattville, Alabama. CARO hosted an open house and ribbon cutting in December to celebrate the grand opening of their new state-of-the-art facility.

The new Prattville location, located at 585 Jasmine Trail, will serve as an extension of the CARO location in Montgomery to more conveniently serve cancer patients who live in and around the Prattville community. The new, modern facility is equipped with the same state-ofthe-art equipment as the main campus in Montgomery, with all physicians seeing patients in both locations, so patients can receive the same great care closer to home.

“Expanding our footprint by opening a new facility in Prattville allows us to serve more patients in the River Region and increase our capacity to deliver world-class radiation treatment and the highest-quality care, right here at home in central Alabama,” said Jan Hollon, CEO of CARO.

CARO’s motto, ‘Where Compassion Meets Precision”, summarizes their mission to provide the highest quality coordinated, compassionate care to patients and their family members. CARO facilities house the most advanced radiation treatment technology in the state of Alabama, including the Varian TrueBeamTM Linear Accelerator. In early 2020, the newest Siemens CT simulator, just recently FDA approved, Somatom go.Sim, will be installed in the Prattville location, and is one of the first of its kind installed in the United States. This will allow every step in the patients’ treatment process to be delivered at the same facility.

All CARO physicians are board certified in radiation oncology and have years of specialized experience in radiation therapies for various types of cancer. CARO’s clinical staff is skilled in delivering cutting-edge treatments using the most sophisticated equipment and technology available.
