On August 25, 2020 voters will go to the polls in multiple area communities to vote on Mayor and Council position seats.
In Wetumpka, City Clerk Tiffany Robinson, provided the following information to the EAN about qualified candidates as of close of busines today, the last day to file to be eligible to run for Municipal positions.
For Mayor of Wetumpka:
Candidates will be William “Greg” Jones and Jerry Willis.
Council District 1:
Candidates will be David Bowen, Jack McDaniel and Kevin Robbins.
Council District 2:
Candidates will be Cheryl D. Tucker and Lewis Edward Washington, Sr.
Candidates for Council District 3:
Lynnes Justiss. (No other candidates qualified)
Candidates for Council District 4:
Steve Gantt. (No other candidates qualified.)
Council District 5:
Candidates will be Andrew Michael Blevins and Joe L. Brown.
With today being the final day to qualify for Municipal elections, the Elmore/Autauga News will do similar stories for other areas in Elmore and Autauga counties in the coming days, showing all candidates in municipal elections.
