Registration Required and Social Distancing Accommodated-
Montgomery, Ala., July 21, 2020 – The Montgomery Chamber’s 2020 Military Appreciation Day at the Zoo, an event to honor all military personnel and their families, will be held August 4, 5 and 6. Due to COVID-19 and out of an abundance of caution, this year’s event has been extended from one to three days, with limited entry and increased social distancing measures. Additionally, registration will be required, with only 700 tickets available each day.
“A time-honored tradition, we are proud to support more than 2,000 military members and their families at this popular appreciation event at the Montgomery Zoo each year,” says Arthur Ducote, Chairman of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. “Thank you to the Montgomery Zoo for partnering with the base and creating an opportunity to allow the men and women that serve our nation to safely enjoy a day at the Zoo with their families and friends.”
Due to limited space, attendees are encouraged to only reserve the number of tickets needed and will not be able to switch days or exchange tickets for another day once registered. Guests will be required to show their tickets and a valid military ID at the gate for entry. This year’s event is sponsored by Guardian Credit Union.
