Winners of the Elmore County Public Schools black history poster contest were announced Tuesday, March 17, 2026, during the Elmore County Board of Education meeting.
Officials highlighted student creativity and learning tied to this year’s national theme, honoring 250 years of black history in Alabama.
District 2 board member, Wendell Saxon, who presented the awards, praised the students’ work and said the entries not only showcased artistic talent but also offered meaningful insight into influential figures with connections to the state.
