Prattville Football defensive back DJ Walton recently committed to continue his football career at LaGrange College in Georgia.
“I committed because LaGrange felt like the best fit and home for me,” said Walton. “LaGrange made an immediate impact on me, and I could see myself playing for them right away.”
The LaGrange Panthers are coming off their best season in school history, finishing with a record of 10-2. The Panthers advanced to the 2nd round of the Division III NCAA Tournament.
Walton visited the school in February prior to his commitment.
“The coach that was most influential to me in my decision would be Coach Brown. He’s been with me my whole high school career, and he has always looked out for me and had my back on and off the field,” said Walton.
Walton has already established goals for his last year of high school and then his first year of college.
“My goal for my senior year is to bring a championship back to Prattville. My goal for my freshman year of college is to start a new journey,” said Walton.
