Four arrested in Elmore County drug bust; agents seize narcotics, firearms, and cash

On September 22nd, 2025, at approximately 0912 hours personnel from the Elmore County Drug Task Force and the Department of Homeland Security executed an arrest warrant through the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama at 300 Renee Way in Elmore, AL. During execution of the arrest warrant, Agents encountered Gerado Noeli Mejia-Hernandez, a Honduran National, Gabino Mayorga Juarez, a Mexican National, Arturo Rivera Lopez, a Mexican National, and the target of the warrant, Agustin Osorio-Lopez, a Mexican National, inside the residence. Agents observed large quantities of illegal contraband in plain view throughout the residence. A search warrant was obtained and executed for the property. Agents recovered approximately 2.4 gross pounds of marijuana, 30 gross grams of crystal methamphetamine, an amount of powdered cocaine, large quantities of packaging materials and assorted paraphernalia, a handgun, a rifle, a shotgun and a large sum of US currency. It was determined that all four individuals are in the United States of America illegally. The common living area contained a large effigy of Jesus Malverde, who is revered in narco culture associated with the Sinaloa region of Mexico as the patron saint of illegal drug dealers enveloped with cartel influence.

-Agustin Lopez was transported to the Elmore County Jail and released to Enforcement and Removal Operation personnel with Department of Homeland Security to remain in federal custody for the arrest warrant. Further federal charges are expected to stem from the operation.

-Galbino Mayorga Juarez was transported to the Elmore County Jail to face charges of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, & Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.

-Arturo Rivera Lopez was transported to the Elmore County Jail to face charges of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, & Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.

-Gerado Noeli Mejia-Hernandez was transported to the Elmore County Jail to face charges of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, & Attempting to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer.
