From Prattville Police Department
On Sept. 16, 2025, a citizen was traveling down East Main Street at the intersection of Adell Street in Prattville when he noticed an unattended, unclothed, male toddler walking in close proximity and in the direction of Main St, one of the busiest streets in Prattville which caused alarm to the citizen.
The citizen, along with other good samaritans, called police then provided clothing and care for the child as they awaited police arrival. Once on scene, officers were led to the juveniles’ residence, which was approximately one block away.
Once at the residence, officers noticed an exterior door was open. Officers conducted a welfare check on the occupants and located a male subject asleep. Officers also noticed narcotics and drug paraphernalia in plain view throughout the house.
After a search warrant was executed, the three adult residents and guardians of the child were arrested for Chemical Endangerment of a Child.
This is an ongoing investigation, and more charges may be forthcoming.
