On Saturday, September 13, 2025, Millbrook Presbyterian Church hosted their inaugural Scottish Heritage Festival with over 100 people in attendance.

Children and adults alike had a chance to enjoy the Scottish flavored Feats of Strength. The community was invited to enjoy bagpipes, barbecue, carnival games, face painting, and much more on the front lawn of the church.

“I’m thrilled with the amount of people that turned out from the community,” said Assistant Pastor, Stephen Watson. “We had a lot of hopes for this event, and those hopes were realized. We wanted God to be honored as our great God of history, who works across the nations and through the centuries. We hoped that we would have a good-sized crowd, and that we could show love, generosity, and hospitality to our neighbors in the community. We hoped that the afternoon would be filled with fun and fellowship. Like I said, our hopes and dreams came true.”

The church decided to put this event together to bring the community together and to sing Scottish arrangements with them, and the idea of a full-blown Scottish Festival went from there.

If you missed this fun community event, plans are already in the works for next year and they want to make the festival even bigger!
