Longtime community leader and dedicated public servant Robert Strichik has officially announced his candidacy for Prattville City Council District 6. With a proven record of service and leadership, Strichik is running to ensure that District 6 continues to thrive through transparency, accountability, and responsive representation.
Strichik brings to the race more than nine years of experience serving the residents of Prattville. During his time on the council, he has prioritized fiscal responsibility, infrastructure improvements, and open communication with citizens. He has built a reputation for being accessible and responsive, returning every phone call, email, and text message from constituents within 24 hours.
“I am humbled by the encouragement I’ve received from so many of my neighbors over the years,” Strichik said. “Our community has made great progress, but there is more to do. I will continue working hard to ensure Prattville remains a safe, family-friendly place where businesses can grow and families can thrive.”
In addition to his role on the City Council, Strichik has been actively involved with numerous civic and community efforts, consistently demonstrating his commitment to serving others. His priorities for the next term include:
• Strengthening infrastructure to support Prattville’s growth
• Ensuring fiscal responsibility with taxpayer dollars
• Supporting first responders and maintaining safe neighborhoods
• Expanding opportunities for families, youth, and local businesses
Strichik lives in Prattville with his wife, Tracye. He believes that public service is about listening, learning, and working together to move the community forward.
The election for Prattville City Council is scheduled for August 26, 2025.
