Clanton, Ala. – Local attorney and community leader Ali Patterson has officially announced her candidacy for Circuit Judge, bringing two decades of legal experience and a lifelong commitment to service to the bench.
A practicing attorney since 2005, Patterson has dedicated her career to advocating for the people of the 19th Circuit (Autauga, Elmore, Chilton Counties) and beyond. Her legal practice includes a broad spectrum of cases from civil litigation and domestic relations, to juvenile dependency and criminal defense, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the justice system.
“I believe the people of the 19th Circuit deserve a Circuit Judge who brings not only legal knowledge but also compassion, fairness, and common sense to the courtroom,” Patterson said. “As an Alabamian and proud resident of Clanton, I’m running to ensure that justice is served with integrity and a deep understanding of the community we call home.”
A graduate of Thompson High School, Patterson earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UAB and her Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law. In 2007, she opened her own law office in Clanton, where she has been offering aggressive, dedicated representation to clients from all walks of life, ever since.
Beyond the courtroom, Patterson is a tireless advocate for civic involvement and youth-focused initiatives. She currently serves as Chairman of the Children’s Policy Council of Chilton County, Secretary of the YMCA Board of Directors, and Secretary of the Chilton County Bar Association. Her past service includes leadership roles with the Chilton County Republican Executive Committee, the Clanton Kiwanis Club, and the Chilton County United Way Board.
Her legal expertise has been recognized statewide; she has served on the Alabama Supreme Court’s Standing Committee on Juvenile Procedure since 2021 and has appeared on WBRC/Fox 6’s Law Call as a featured legal expert.
Patterson and her husband, Eric, are raising their three sons in Clanton, where they attend Mulberry Baptist Church. “This community is not just where I work—it’s where I live, worship, and raise my family,” Patterson added. “I’m running for Circuit Judge to uphold the values that make the 19th Circuit strong: faith, fairness, and a commitment to doing what’s right.”
