Good afternoon, Elmore County! This is Richard Dennis, Superintendent of Elmore County Public Schools. The first two days of the school are complete, and a big thank you to everyone for helping make the start of school this year a success.
ParentSquare, Elmore County’s communication tool replaced Remind and is available to all custodial parents of students in grades K-12. Students in grades 7-12 also have access to ParentSquare notifications and updates. To ensure you’re receiving important messages from your child’s teachers and administrators, please double-check that your email and phone number are up to date in PowerSchool. If you need assistance with ParentSquare or the PowerSchool Parent Portal, our Tech Integration Specialists will be hosting Family Tech Nights soon. These sessions will help address any questions or issues you may have. PowerSchool Parent Portal should go live in a couple of weeks.
ECHS will host the Maroon and White Scrimmage tonight at Burt Haynie Field which will include youth teams all the way up to varsity squads participating in short scrimmages. And next Thursday ECHS is hosting a Jamboree at home at 6:00PM with Horseshoe Bend and St James.
Next Tuesday WSFA will be doing a Hometown Tour in Millbrook at 17 Springs and introduce the SEHS Mustangs at the City Pep Rally as they prepare for the kickoff of the season.
Next Friday WHS will host Meet the Indians at the Wetumpka Sports Complex and conduct the Black and Gold scrimmage. Take the opportunity to come out and support your community teams.
