On July 7th, 2025, the Prattville Police Department began investigating a robbery that occurred in the 200 block of Interstate Commercial Park Loop. During the robbery, an unknown suspect wearing a mask and all black clothing entered the business and demanded cash from the register while brandishing a firearm. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
On July 27th, 2025, the Prattville Police Department responded to another call in the 200 block of Interstate Commercial Park Loop in reference to a robbery. During the robbery, an unknown suspect wearing a mask, grey hoodie and black pants entered the business and demanded cash from the register while brandishing a firearm.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect allegedly fled the scene on foot.
While investigating the reported robberies, Investigators were able to discover similarities between the two and used investigative resources to recover evidence and developed a suspect. During the investigation, Investigators also discovered similarities with a previous robbery which occurred on February 8th, 2022 in the 1700 block of E. Main St. that led to the arrest of Devin Jones on February 9th, 2022.
Investigators obtained two arrest warrants for Robbery 1st (Alabama 13A-8-41) on Devin Christopher Edward Jones. On July 31st, 2025, the Prattville Police Department arrested Jones, who was transported to the Elmore County Jail and held on no bond due to the offense, pending an Aniah’s Law hearing. The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released at a later date.
