Russ Sanders is a dedicated public servant with a long-standing commitment to the Prattville community. Appointed to represent District One on the City Council, Russ brings a wealth of experience and a reputation for principled, servant leadership.
As your councilman, Russ is focused on keeping Prattville moving forward by championing transparency in government, advocating for streamlined operations, and ensuring exceptional service for residents. He is also committed to driving economic development and promoting tourism to build a stronger, more prosperous future for our city.
With a background marked by fairness, integrity, and accountability, Russ is a trusted leader.

Russ previously served as Assistant Director of the Prattville Parks and Recreation Department and is currently employed at Capital Tractor. Guided by his faith and shaped by decades of public service, Russ treats everyone with respect, dignity, and fairness. He stands firm on his principles and will always prioritize the needs of Prattville’s families.
Russ and his wife, Jessica, are both deeply engaged in their church and community.
