An inaugural back to school social for the Millbrook First Methodist Church brought out boys and girls from nursery through sixth grade recently. Parents were welcome to join in on the fun as well.
The theme of the event was Alice In Wonderland. “Alice” was played by Rebecca Wohlford.
Tea Time consisted of snacks and cupcake decorating. Story Time was the story of “The Rabbit Hole,” and also emphasized Matthew 18:12-14.
Craft Time offered making trucker hats using their creativity, and even Alice joined in on the fun. Games included Pin the Smile, and Relay Races. A Dance party was held at the end of the event.
Allison Taylor and Debra Cox were the masterminds of putting this event together.
“This was our first annual back to school social. It was a huge success. We wanted children and parents to fellowship and celebrate the new school year together.”
