This morning across the Middle District of Alabama, including Autauga and Elmore counties, a joint operation between local officers and multiple agencies assisted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security visiting multiple establishments.
A press conference on those activities is scheduled today at 3 p.m. at the Auburn Police Department for media only.
We have received confirmations that some businesses were visited in Elmore and Autauga counties.
The press conference will give what information is available concerning the law enforcement activities and a federal indictment in the Middle District of Alabama.
Agencies expected to share information include the aforementioned but also including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE/ERO), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), United States Marshals Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Alabama Department of Corrections, and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
