Candidate Announcement – Jacquelyn Thomas for Millbrook City Council, Ward 1

From Jacquelyn Thomas

Current Council for Ward 1, Millbrook

I’m Jacquelyn Thomas, and I’m honored to announce my candidacy for a second term as your Millbrook Ward 1 Councilwoman and proven SERVANT LEADER!

As a lifelong resident of Millbrook, I have deep roots in this community. Millbrook made me, and I will always be a Mustang fan! I still remember when dirt roads covered much of our city—now, we’re blessed with thriving neighborhoods, modern infrastructure, and a place we’re all proud to call home.

I am passionate about my work as Councilwoman, and it is truly my heart’s desire to serve. Service isn’t just something I do—it’s a lifestyle. I have always put people first, been accessible, responsive, and deeply committed to our community’s progress. My goal is to strengthen economic opportunities, support more paving projects, expand housing and recreation, support small businesses and ensure smart, balanced growth that preserves Millbrook’s unique charm.

I’m not a politician—I’m a servant. I stand firmly on principle, always choosing what is right over what is easy. With 25 years of experience as an educator and life coach, I know how to collaborate, build bridges, and inspire positive change.

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart, Willie, for 30 years. We are blessed with five amazing children and ten grandchildren. I believe in God, Family, Church, and Community.

I am committed to continuing the strong working relationship I have with the Mayor and Council. I will keep making decisions that enhance the quality of life for All citizens of Ward 1 and the City of Millbrook.

Together, WE can make a difference.

I humbly ask for your support and your vote on August 26, 2025.

With love and gratitude,

Jacquelyn Thomas
