The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the Autauga Education Foundation (AEF) and International Paper for their annual school supply drive.
“Each year, we see the impact that crayons or a pack of pencils can have in the hands of a student,” said Nelda Sorrells, Autauga Education Foundation Board Chair. “Through the generosity of our community, this school supply drive helps ensure that every school in Autauga County starts the school year ready to learn.”
Donations will be collected during the Stuff the Bus Campaign at the Prattville Walmart on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 8 a.m. to noon, during Alabama’s tax-free weekend.
You can also donate through the chamber’s Amazon Wish List at https://a.co/2Njm10v, with items shipped directly to them for distribution. Donation dropped offs in person are accepted as well.
The most needed items are crayons, colored pencils, washable markers, #2 pencils, liquid glue, glue sticks, copy paper, paper towels, tissues, and disinfectant cleaners.
“We’re so thankful for the support of our partners and neighbors who step up to help make a difference in our community,” said Sorrells.
The deadline to donate is August 1st, and with the first day of school on August 7th, every contribution counts.
