The City of Prattville and the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce are proud to honor local service members and veterans with a special Military Appreciation Night during the Creekwalk Concert Series on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 6:30 PM at Pratt Park (456 Doster Road, Prattville, AL).
This patriotic evening, hosted by the City of Prattville’s Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce, is designed to recognize and celebrate the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces.
The event will begin with a warm welcome from Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr. and members of the Prattville City Council. Attendees will also hear remarks from David Lewis, Chairman of the Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee, and Col. Shamekia Toliver, Commander of the 42nd Air Base Wing at Maxwell Air Force Base.
“Partnering with the City to honor our military community is a privilege,” said Patty VanderWal, President of the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce. “Military Appreciation Night is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the men and women who serve and sacrifice for our freedom.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and their patriotic spirit as the community comes together to support those who serve.
