City of Montgomery Independence Day Celebration
MONTGOMERY, AL — The City of Montgomery invites residents and visitors to gather for a festive and patriotic Independence Day Celebration at Riverfront Park on Thursday, July 4, from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM. This free, family-friendly event will feature live music by the 151st Alabama Army National Guard Band, followed by a spectacular fireworks display over the Alabama River.
Gates will open at 7:00 PM, and guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for security screening. Clear bags are mandatory for quicker entry, and for the safety of all attendees, one adult is required per four minor children (ages 17 and under). Attendees are also welcome to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the performance comfortably.
The evening’s festivities will begin at 8:00 PM with a live performance from the 151st Band, known for its powerful renditions of patriotic favorites and contemporary hits. As the band fills the amphitheater with music, the celebration will crescendo with a dazzling fireworks show lighting up the night sky.
Local food vendors will be on-site, offering a variety of summer favorites, including popcorn, snow cones, and fresh lemonade perfect for enjoying during the evening’s festivities.
