Investigators with the Tallassee Police Department have identified Devonte Tyus and Jartavious Jackson, both of Tallassee, as suspects in the case. Warrants have been secured for both suspects for Attempted Murder and Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle.
Both men are suspects in the shooting that occurred Monday, May, 19 on Hwy 299 South after first responders located two juvenile victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Immediate first aid was rendered, and both juveniles were transported to Children’s Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
While investigators were processing the scene, authorities were notified of an additional adult male victim who had been dropped off at Tallassee Community Hospital with a gunshot wound. The adult was later transported to Baptist Medical Center South for further treatment. His injuries were also reported to be serious but non-life-threatening.
This incident is still being actively investigated, and additional charges are pending.
