ALEX CITY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, has claimed the life of a Tallassee man. William D. Gantt, 21, was fatally injured when the 2007 Buell Blast motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. Gantt was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Lovelady Road near Sulphur Springs Road, approximately eight miles north of Tallassee, in Tallapoosa County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
