Autauga County, Alabama – May 3, 2025, In honor of International Firefighter Day, The Autauga County Firefighters Association, a non-profit, is thrilled to announce the Second Annual Family Fun Day, a special event dedicated to celebrating and appreciating the hard work and dedication of all first responders in Autauga County. The event will be held in Autauga County at Camp Hobbs, 2021 Camp Tukabatchee Road, Prattville, AL 36067.
This free event is open to all firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers and other first responders and their families residing in Autauga County. It serves as an opportunity to relax, connect with colleagues from different agencies, and enjoy a day of fun and camaraderie outside of their demanding roles. The Second Annual Family Fun Day promises a variety of engaging activities for all ages including: ·
Games and Activities: Inflatable bounce houses, field games, and more to keep the kids entertained. There will also be friendly competition games for the adults.
Food and Refreshments: Bar-b-que, hot dogs and drinks will be provided throughout the event. A food truck will be joining during the event. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share.·
Networking Opportunities: A chance for first responders and their families to connect and build relationships within the Autauga County community.
Appreciation and Recognition: A moment to acknowledge the sacrifices and commitment of our local heroes. “Our Family Fun Day is a vital opportunity to strengthen the bonds not only within our Autauga County Firefighting family but also with our own loved ones,” said Tex Edwards, president of the Autauga County Firefighters Association. “In a profession that demands so much, these moments of shared joy and relaxation are crucial for fostering the support system our first responders rely on.” The Autauga County Firefighters Association is proud to host this event as a small token of gratitude for the selfless service of our first responders during the weekend celebrating International Firefighter Day. We encourage all eligible individuals and their families to come out and enjoy a day of fun and fellowship.
