We are so proud to recognize Brenda Dennis, President & CEO of the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce as our Chamber Champion. This award recognizes the commendable performance and leadership of an emerging Alabama Chamber professional.
With less than 4 years of experience as a chamber professional, Brenda has already demonstrated an exceptional commitment to leadership, innovation and service to the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce. Since joining the chamber industry in 2021, she has consistently shown an unparalleled work ethic and passion for supporting the growth and success of her community.
Some of her standout achievements include increasing the chamber’s membership by 41% and increasing operating income by 54%. She rebranded the chamber by revamping the website and incorporating GrowthZone to manage the website, members, communication and income. She has also partnered with the city to administer a Mural Grant program, awarding up to 80% of project costs to small businesses who wanted to help beautify the city through public art. These murals are now part of the Alabama Mural Trail.
She created a stronger, more cohesive, and organized Ambassador program, growing from 7 board members who also served as Ambassadors to 16 individuals uniquely serving in that position in 2025. The Ambassador program also administers the 2-3 annual Young Professional events that have seen up to 80+ attendees from across the River Region. She took the lead in implementing the Chamber’s very first Strategic Plan in 2022 to identify goals and the chamber’s identity moving forward. For the very first time, they are a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She is graduating from Institute for Organization Management program this summer.
Beyond her work within the chamber, she has shown a deep commitment to her community. Her involvement in the Cops for Kids program, Mardi Gras, and Tunes on the Green events further exemplifies her dedication to making her city a better place to live and work. She has served on multiple boards and is on deck to serve as President of the Prattville-Millbrook Sunrise Rotary Club in 2027.
