UPDATE ON MISSING PERSON – ELIZABETH CLARK
As of 8:30 AM, the Wetumpka Police Department confirms that Mrs. Elizabeth Clark has been found deceased.
Mrs. Clark was reported missing on Wednesday, April 9, after last being seen near West Osceola Street. We extend our deepest thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Clark’s family, friends, and loved ones. May they find peace and strength in the days ahead, and may the community continue to support them with care and respect.
From the moment Mrs. Clark was reported missing, our Wetumpka Police and Fire Departments—along with partner agencies—launched a continuous and thorough search effort. I am incredibly proud of their swift, coordinated response and the compassion and reverence they demonstrated throughout this difficult ordeal. Their actions reflect the deep care and commitment they have for every member of our community.
I’m also especially grateful to the many citizens who stepped forward to help—those who reviewed camera footage, submitted tips, and shared Mrs. Clark’s information. Your support made a difference, and I thank you sincerely.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and passing remains ongoing. Out of respect for the family, no additional details will be released at this time.
