A beautiful and vibrant display of blue pinwheels was placed in front of City Hall in Prattville Tuesday morning as April marks Child Abuse Prevention Month.  The Prattville Chamber of Commerce, law enforcement, as well as local business representatives all gathered to remind the community of the gravity of child abuse and the advocacy of prevention.

The Autauga County Family Support Center, Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center of Autauga County as well as CASA of Autauga and Chilton Counties all teamed up for today’s kickoff and awareness of child abuse.  They hosted a cheerful table setup with pinwheels, commemorative pins, and fresh buttery popcorn! The Pinwheels were provided to be displayed right in front of the City Hall for the community to have a constant reminder of this month’s purpose and prevention.

Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie, was in attendance to show support as well as present a proclamation.  These organizations as well as the City of Prattville are committed to the advocacy and prevention of child abuse and are in support of showing the community the beacon of hope, education, awareness and resources for those in need.
