In September of 2024, it was reported to the Prattville Police Department’s Investigative Division by members of the Marbury Football Booster Club that over $30,000.00 had been stolen from the Booster Club’s bank account. During the investigation, the Prattville Police Department learned that Melanie Morrison, who was the treasurer for the booster club at the time of the theft, had transferred over $30,000.00 to her personal bank accounts through various transactions. The thefts occurred in a time span of over two years. The Prattville Police Department obtained a warrant on Melanie Morrison for Theft of Property 1. Morrison turned herself in on 02/17/2025 and has since bonded out.
