Spc. Jackson Wade, a Millbrook resident and 2024 graduate of Stanhope Elmore High School, recently achieved a series of impressive milestones to begin his military career. After successfully completing Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Wade graduated with honors from Delta Company, 795th Military Police Battalion. His exceptional performance earned him the prestigious Army Achievement Medal, along with the Distinguished Leadership Award for his outstanding leadership as a new Military Police officer.
During his training, Wade demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, earning several notable honors. He was named a Sharpshooter for his accuracy with a pistol, recognized as a Speed Demon for achieving a perfect score on the tactical driving course, and served as the Platoon Guidon for five consecutive Army Combat Fitness Tests – earning the highest scores in his platoon each time.
Before enlisting, Spc. Wade was deeply involved in extracurricular activities at Stanhope Elmore, where he served as the Command Sergeant Major of the JROTC program and was an active member of the wrestling team. He credits key mentors, including Colonel Charles Bonasera, First Sergeant James Chambers, and Coach Hunter Adams, for helping shape him into the disciplined and driven soldier he is today.
Looking ahead, Spc. Wade will continue his service as a proud member of the Alabama Army National Guard. He has also set his sights on pursuing a degree in Law and Justice at Auburn University, with plans to further his career in the Army.
Wade’s accomplishments are a testament to the unwavering support of his family, friends and loved ones, including his proud parents, Jeremy and Amy Wade, and his brother Anderson Wade of Millbrook, and his grandparents Tom and Soyna Moore of Prattville, and Buddy and Janet Wade of Hattiesburg, MS, along with numerous extended family and close friends.
Spc. Jackson Wade’s remarkable achievements reflect not only his dedication to service but also his commitment to making a lasting impact on both his community and his country.
