Millbrook Scouts from Troop 19 recently visited the Millbrook City Council meeting, leading the Pledge of Allegiance, and even having a question-and-answer period with Mayor Al Kelley.
Several of the Scouts had questions for the mayor. They asked questions about leadership, and what his job is like among others (See videos below).
Council members thanked the Scouts for coming the meeting, saying they wish more people would attend public meetings to get a better understanding of what running a city is truly like.
The City Council meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The meeting held on the second Tuesday is at 10:00 a.m. and the meeting held on the fourth Tuesday is at 6:00 p.m. in the courtroom of the Millbrook Police and Municipal Court Building located at 3900 Grandview Road. A work session precedes each Council Meeting by thirty minutes. They begin at 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the conference room adjacent to the courtroom.

During each of the regular meetings, there is a time for citizens to come and address the council regarding agenda items, or other concerns they have in the community.
