Eclectic Elementary School students are diving into the world of coding through an exciting hands-on experience with robotics during their library classes. Under the guidance of Jessica Quinn, Media Specialist at Eclectic Elementary, students have been learning how to program small robots to complete tasks, solve challenges, and develop critical thinking skills.
“Third-grade students are diving into the world of coding with hands-on learning in library class! Through teamwork and problem-solving, each group worked together to guide their robots to the finish line,” said Quinn.
The initiative introduces young learners to the fundamentals of coding in a fun and interactive way. Using simple block-based programming, students can command the robots to navigate mazes, follow patterns, and more. The engaging lessons not only build problem-solving skills but also inspire creativity and teamwork.
By incorporating robotics into library time, Eclectic Elementary is fostering a love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education at an early age.
