🎾✨ Newton Park Phase 3 Construction is Starting Soon! ✨🎾
We’re thrilled to announce that Phase 3 of Newton Park is about to begin! On December 17th, the City Council awarded David Bulger Construction the bid to build 5 brand-new tennis courts, taking us one step closer to making Newton Park a dedicated tennis and pickleball complex!
What to expect:
Demolition work will begin Monday, February 4th. The current practice fields will be converted into 5 tennis courts and a beautiful green space for families to enjoy. Practice fields for baseball and softball will be available at Bell Park, Spinners Park and Lo Pickett Park. New details will also be coming soon for field and light rentals at Mac Gray 1. We will attempt to move the batting cages from Newton Park to Mac Gray 1, so they can stay open for public use. The original restrooms will also receive modifications and upgrades as well. Phase 3 is scheduled to be completed by Summer 2025, weather permitting.
This next phase will make Newton Park the perfect destination for sports, recreation, and family fun. After construction, this complex will feature 18 pickleball courts, 10 tennis courts, green space for picnics, kickball games, or relaxing, playground, walking path and restrooms.
Stay tuned for updates as the transformation unfolds!
