On Saturday, the inaugural “Donuts and Cocoa with Elf on the Shelf” event was held at Kingdom Dough, LLC in Millbrook. This event was a paid event for children to receive a personalized box of four miniature size donuts from Elf on the Shelf, hot cocoa, a candy cane, and pictures with the life-sized Elf.
In many family homes, the children will have a smaller size Elf on the Shelf where the Elf does magical things around the home by leaving special notes and surprises as well. Elf on the Shelf has become an extremely popular tradition in today’s time. This event was a very memorable event for families to have their pictures of the life-sized Elf with their child.
Jeremy and Kimberly Powers, Owners of Kingdom Dough LLC, spoke to EAN about the inaugural event.
“We have enjoyed celebrating Elf on the Shelf with our daughter and exchanging ideas with our family and friends. Elf on the shelf has become a popular tradition and when we saw that we could rent one it was the perfect idea for kids to see their favorite Elf in human size. We complimented with custom mini elf donuts, paired with a cup of hot chocolate and an original candy cane. We enjoyed seeing the kids’ faces when they opened their boxes. Each child had a custom box with their name on it, which was given to them by the elf. As a family-owned business, we all pulled together to make sure each child left with a great memory, filled with joy and (Christ)mas love.”
