Public reading of ‘Arrangements’ coming to the Wetumpka Depot Theatre Jan. 17

Wetumpka Depot Players

New year, new work! Join us for a reading of Marianne Weber’s new play, “Arrangements.”  Marianne is a local playwright and member of the Depot’s Encore Players.  Marianne says the following about her new work –

“Coralene is at her wit’s end.  She thinks Rob is having a midlife crisis.  Rob thinks she is having one.  Their 25-year marriage is on the rocks, only she and Rob haven’t finalized divorce plans. They have not informed their grown children or Rob’s domineering mother, Mama Grace, who arranges a surprise anniversary party.  Sparks fly when Mama Grace suddenly needs more help than Coralene and Rob can provide.  What do they do about their topsy-turvy lives?  The play is a warm-hearted look at those times when present patterns fail, and the way forward is to adjust and make new arrangements—IF possible. “

The public reading will be Friday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. on the Depot Studio stage. 300 S. Main Street in Wetumpka. The event is free, but donations to the theatre are welcome.
