Millbrook, AL – The ASF Foundation is pleased to announce the success of Dinklebells 2, its annual holiday-themed pickleball tournament. Held at Millbrook’s 17 Springs this past weekend, the event featured exciting matches with competitors of all ages and support for the upcoming 42nd Alabama State Games.
“We are very pleased with the outcome of the event,” said ASF Foundation Executive Director Laura Creel Burt. “We thank the players for their participation, the generous sponsors for their financial support and prizes, and the team at 17 Springs for being great hosts. I’d also like to thank our staff here at the Alabama State Games for their creativity and hard work in making this event a success. Their efforts helped make Dinklebells 2 a memorable celebration of pickleball and community.”
Sponsors of this year’s event included Sabel Steel Services, Central Alabama Electric Cooperative, the Elaine Roberts Foundation, the ASF Foundation, YMCA of Greater Montgomery, 17 Springs, and Legacy Pickleball. Burt and Tournament Director Robby Bradford also extended their gratitude to the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, and the team at Experience Montgomery for their continued support.
Building on the success of its inaugural event, Dinklebells 2 attracted pickleball enthusiasts from across Alabama. The weekend offered thrilling competition, camaraderie among players, and festive holiday activities. The 17 Springs venue provided an ideal setting, with its top-tier courts and welcoming atmosphere elevating the experience for participants and spectators alike.
As the holiday season winds down, the ASF Foundation looks ahead to more exciting pickleball opportunities this summer.
Burt shared an enthusiastic invitation for the new year: “Let’s keep the energy and excitement alive! We welcome pickleballers of all skill levels to join us for the 42nd Alabama State Games Pickleball Tournament. Registration opens on March 1, and it promises to be an extraordinary event. We can’t wait to see you on the courts!”
